We welcome new members - and you don't have to keep bees!
We offer Full, Partner and Junior Membership for those keeping bees, which gives automatic membership to the British Beekeepers' Association and its benefits. If you don't have bees you can still join us (and the BBKA) by becoming a Country Member.
Alternatively you can become a Friend of our Society which allows you to attend our apiary sessions and winter meetings so that you can learn about beekeeping, but you won't be a member of the BBKA and you will not be eligible to vote at our General Meetings. If someone in your family would like to come with you to our winter meetings they can join as a Family member. Membership runs from 1st October to 30 September and costs:
Full members, and Junior members owning and running their own hives, must have Bee Disease Insurance. The premium depends upon the number of hives and the minimum cover (for 3 hives) is £2. If you are interested in becoming a Member of our Society please complete the enquiry form below so that our Membership Secretary can get in contact: |
